Why is LiveStats being discontinued?
Superlative Solutions, during the past several years, has offered several Web traffic reporting systems. By default, all clients have had access to the SmarterStats software, however, many clients have opted to utilize the LiveStats reporting system. Since we have recently upgraded the SmarterStats reporting system to the Enterprise edition, continuing to support competing products is no longer feasible.
As result, effective March 16, 2008, Superlative Solutions will discontinue offering the LiveStats system.
What is the schedule?
There are THREE dates you should be aware of, as follows:
1. February 29, 2008: This is the LAST DATE that will be reflected in LiveStats reports. After this date, LiveStats will no longer read your Web site's log files. You will still be able to view report, and print or email them as desired.
2. March 15, 2008: This is the LAST DATE THAT LIVESTATS WILL BE AVAILABLE. Up until this time, you may view and print reports, as desired, and we encourage you to do so.
3. March 16, 2008: LiveStats will not be available as of this date.
How will I get traffic reporting once LiveStats is disabled?
Your Web site has already been migrated to our SmarterStats Enterprise reporting system. You may access this statistics reporting system using the following access information:
If you do not know your Control Panel password, please email us at support@ssiwt.com, or reply to this message and we will be glad to get you the information.
Will ALL my past information be available in SmarterStats?
Unfortunantely, the answer is "No." SmarterStats will only import log data that is available for your site (January 2008 or earlier). As part of our systems maintenance processes, we normally delete Web logs older than three months, however, this is not always the case.
As a result, we encourage you to print out any reports from the LiveStats system prior to the discontinue date of March 16, 2008.
I am currently paying for the LiveStats service. Will my monthly hosting bill be adjusted?
Yes. In fact, you should not see any additional billings for the LiveStats, if you have been billed for it in the past. If you were not paying an additional fee for LiveStats, you will not see any change as you had been receiving complimentary access to LiveStats.
What if I have more questions?
Please feel free to reply to this message, or you may email our support department at support@ssiwt.com.
